The Ups
Not much “Ups” to chose from such an ugly played game by the players and a poorly coached game by the coaching staff. The lone bright spot from this game is Josh Jacobs. He averaged 5.1 yards a carry and had a hard fought TD late in the game that was the only TD for Green Bay. He totaled 100 yards with 87 coming on the ground.
The Downs
So many “Downs” I’ll start a list
-Indecisive coaching from Matt LaFleur. One too many WR screen passes.
-Jordan Love and his interception into triple coverage in a strong wind
-The non-existent pass rush against a make shift Panthers O-line
-Porous run defense. Rico Dowdle was trucking and dragging Packers defenders all game long.
-Another missed kick (wide left) from the veteran McManus
-Injuries – Tucker Kraft gets injured by his own man, and it looks like an ACL. Matthew Golden, Aaron Banks.
-Fumble by Savion Williams. What got me was his lack of fight to get the ball back. There also wasn’t much urgency to recovered the ball when it was punched out.
The Cheeesy
What was LaFleur doing going for it on 4th and 8? Just kick the ball. The cheeesiest play of the game was: Jordan Loves runs left, throws across his body to the right, a wounded duck, right into the hands……. of a Panthers defender! Cheeeseburger!!!
